Summer Employment Opportunity

Loon Lake Lodge is a small family run resort on the edge of the Boundary Water Canoe Area. We are the only resort on Loon Lake which is located 39 miles from Grand Marais. We hire two employees to do general resort work. Our season is May to October with the busiest time being July and August. If you have thought about working in the great northwoods check us out.

Because we are a small resort all employees share jobs. Your jobs might include:

Serving breakfast and dinner, helping guests with their boats, general outside help, cleaning cabins, helping with dishes and maintenance. Other responsibilities include - answering phones, laundry and just generally helping around the Lodge.

Everyday is different and we all work together. Work hours vary day to day and week to week. If you need time off adjustments can be made. Scheduling is flexible. During your time off you have the opportunity to explore the BWCA, swim, fish and enjoy the beauty of the Northwoods. Employees may use Loon Lake Lodge, boats, canoes and other equipment.

Bunk house type rooms are provided with a common kitchen for all staff.

We are looking for people who will enjoy working with our guests, many of whom are repeat customers. You will need to be a self starter who doesn’t need constant supervision.
